Our Services
CharitiesOne of Knight Goodhead’s areas of specialisation and interest is the charity and not-for-profit sector. We currently look after more than 20 local charity clients, which work in a variety of fields including shelter and housing, the hospice movement, advocacy, crime prevention, back to work training, churches and community groups. Both partners are also involved with charities in an honorary capacity. It is a sector where we feel we have empathy, as well as experience and expertise, to offer. We recognise that charities increasingly require specialist financial advice, and believe we are well placed to offer this, with a friendly and professional approach. We view “added value” advice as a by-product of the financial accounts and audit process. We have advised charities on, amongst other areas, fund accounting, reserves policies, bookkeeping procedures, accounting software, management accounts, trading activities and VAT.
